Located in the quiet village of Cumnor, winding stairs lead to cosy bedrooms with old oak doorways & beamed ceilings, while ancient fireplaces, flagstone floors and mullioned windows with carved lintels make the bar one of the finest anywhere. The 2 AA Rosette restaurant serves up popular favourites alongside locally sourced seasonal specials.

Home truths
Due to the great age and Grade II* listing of the building for its historic significance, the rooms over the pub are quirky and delightful, but not terribly accessible to guests of less than full mobility. The Old Cottage rooms are also upstairs, but with wider and shorter steps up to them.
The restaurant is popular with non-residents so we would strongly suggest booking dining in advance.
