Nice hotel, but looks a bit tired.

We stayed for two nights, for a spa break package, which included breakfast and evening meals.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but did not inform us when we arrived that many of the spa facilities were not available on that day. The main hydrotherapy pool, one of the saunas and all of the showers were not working. Also, I could not find a locker in the gents changing room that would lock, so I had to leave my clothes in an unlocked locker. On the following day, the hydrotherapy pool and showers were working and were very good. All of the spa facilities were nice, but looking tired (missing tiles, etc). We enjoyed the spa experience on the second day.
Our room in the hotel was a bit small, but ok. Nice view over the canal. The ventilation in the shower room was not working, and it was almost impossible to open the doors onto the balcony, so it was very damp in the room. In fact, there was condensation running down the inside walls, near the balcony doors. The room was cleaned well, but the sealant around the shower enclosure was mouldy. There was a kettle, tea and coffee in the room, and pods for a coffee machine (but no pod machine!).
We enjoyed our visits to the restaurant. The breakfasts and dinners were good, although not a great selection for vegetarians. The staff in the restaurant were helpful and polite.
Overall, we enjoyed the stay, but wouldn't rush to go there again.
