"Lovely setting, interesting Hotel, excellent staff and food"
Susan, Devon, stayed: December 2021 We had a lovely relaxing couple of nights at Orestone, it is an interesting place. The staff were very good and pleasant nothing was too much trouble. Food delicious, there were a few vegetables that could have been cooked better. A lift would have been good too. Considering how much the two night stay cost we feel the room should have been better. It was virtually an attic room. Sloping ceilings not ideal for older people. Drinks quite expensive too.

DM, Warwickshire, stayed: May 2022 We were greeted at reception with the news that the pre dinner free drinks was a mistake and should not have been part of the package clearly set out in the terms offerdbedrooms and bathroom did not match the reception areas of the hotel
"One night stay at Orestone Manor"
Anon, stayed: October 2014 We stayed on a saturday overnight to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in the most expensive room with a jacuzzi as it was a celebration. Our room was seperate to the hotel, much like a granny annex on the side. The room itself although clean with a modern bathroom was very dated and on arrival i had to ask for the champagne which was supposed to be in the room. Although this is advertised as a Manor, it is not what you would normally expect with very limited grounds. This was a very expensive evening away and as which deserves a wow factor. Unfortunately there is not one in Orestone Manor and i would not recomend it at there present rates!
"Disappointing stay"
Christopher, Hants, stayed: June 2017 We were very much looking forward to a relaxing break. On arrival we found the toilet was not flushing. The owner came quickly and said it would be fixed during dinner. The mattress was so old, you could feel the springs through it, this was changed while we were at dinner also. Excellent young men serving at dinner, however my calf's liver was amazing on the first night but inedible due to the sinew on the second, also my fillet steak was tough but my husband's great. We had been assured the upgrade was worth it but found the room needed some TLC and refurbishment.
