We came to Lion Quays for our Ten Year Wedding Anniversary - we are used to a more lively celebration and worried we'd be bored but wanted something quiet.
The deal was amazing value - we would have paid 100's more for all the facilities separately.
The room was good, nice and spacious although the bathroom was worn and needs a refurb. The canal view was great and the strawberries and champagne were an appreciated touch.
We absolutely loved the food and think it is under-rated, the restaurant doesnt look as good as it should and its almost like a 'Weatherspoons' type atmosphere but with spectacular food - I think they could make a more exclusive environment.
The spa was such fun and so relaxing, I wasnt sure we would enjoy it but we did - a lot.
The only down side was that the hotel bar didnt have a member of staff every time we went so we didnt end up ever getting a drink time we were told someone was on the way but they never arrived and the WIFI connection is non-existent in the rooms. I had to sit in the hallway to link it up and contact home.
All in all an excellent stay
