"Grand stay in a historic house"

We enjoyed the experience of staying at Hartwell House for our wedding anniversary. The setting in parkland is lovely and we walked all through the grounds. The story of the house is very interesting and it's beautifully furnished and decorated. We had stayed at Bodysgallen in Wales a few years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed the experience there, so decided to try Hartwell. It was pretty luxurious and a special treat but it was expensive for the room and dinner when compared to other similar historic hotels.

Anon, stayed: May 2022 Beautiful hotel , stunning grounds , excellent staff , spa needs updating , although treatments were excellent . We found restaurant and drinks prices very expensive , but all in all we had a lovely stay .
