"Surprise birthday stay"

My wife's surprise 60th birthday stay at Hartwell House and Spa was an excellent choice for us. The staff were welcoming, polite and very helpful, they could not do enough for us. We could not fault anything on our stay, the restaurant, the spa and obviously the house, to cap it all off a stroll around the grounds was very pleasant.

We can fully understand why a French king should enjoy his exile at Hartwell. For us it was true luxury and style, particularly in the Morning Room. The fact that we have been four times speaks for itself.

Anon, stayed: October 2016 We enjoyed our overnight stay, the only negatives were not having tea and coffee facility in the room and the shower was cold other than that could not be faulted.

Anon, stayed: October 2016 The hotel is in a superb location, rooms lovely and quiet. The restaurant food was excellent, but service not up to the standard I would expect of a gourmet restaurant.
