Can children stay at Hartwell House & Spa?
Hartwell House Hotel welcomes children over the age of 6 years old.
Children of residents 6-16 years of age, when accompanied by an adult residential guest, may use the pool only between:
- 9am and 10am
- 4pm and 5pm
Children cannot use the other spa facilities.
Please note no bedrooms can take additional beds, therefore children will be allocated their own room on the full package price.
The grounds
Hartwell House stands in 94 acres of beautiful parkland, landscaped by a contemporary of Capability Brown. It features a lake spanned by a stone bridge, a ruined church and many 18th century statues and garden buildings.
History of the hotel
This impressive house, which has both Jacobean and Georgian facades, has been skilfully and sympathetically restored by Historic House Hotels and is protected by the National Trust. The restoration extended to the 18th century stables, coach house and indoor riding school, which were adapted to create additional bedrooms and suites at Hartwell House.
Does Hartwell House & Spa allow dogs?
Hartwell House Hotel is dog-friendly!
Dogs are welcome in the Hartwell Courtyard suites by prior arrangement only. Two small dogs or one larger dog are permitted, and may be walked in the park and woods, but not in the garden.
The hotel will supply a bed, water bowl, snacks and those all-important little bags.
Dogs are not permitted in the main house or spa (unless guide/assistance dogs)
Please keep dogs off the beds and furniture and they must be kept on a lead. Damage to rooms or injury to livestock will be charged for.
There is no charge for dogs, but only 3 Courtyard Suites are dog-friendly, so availability must be confirmed before booking.
