We stayed at HH at the end of Feb. We were welcomed by Laurence and the reception staff, given a tour of the public rooms and a brief history of HH before being escorted to our suite. Our courtyard suite was located next to the spa - a good distance from HH, especially if it raining, snowy or icy, albeit a brolly is provided. The car park is also a distance from the house and the route down to HH not well lit, as my husband tripped on the speed hump halfway down the hill on our way to dinner. Our rooms were delightful with dual aspect to the outside courtyard/fields with daffodils. Service pre and at dinner and breakfast was exceptional. Our only gripe was the bread at breakfast could have come from a standard sliced loaf - brown or white, which did not impress us. The grounds were outstanding and well kept. We would love to return in better weather to spend more time exploring the grounds. Check out was equally impressive and the reception staff very welcoming.
