Poor Stay At Ufford Golf Club Not Luxary In Slightest
stayed: September 2025
This is an honest and fair review for our stay. We booked with Off peak Luxary thinking we were getting a nice hotel and food package. We Arrived to find a very average room not the luxary we were expecting. The room carpet was not cleaned properly, bits on carpet , the carpet was threadbare in places. The toilet seat was loose and wasn t even the correct size for the toilet. It was too small. The floor in the bathroom was dirty, the shower leaked onto floor and when soaked up with the floor towel the towel was dirty. There were stains on the wall by the bed and the phone provided in the room was not connected.
There were disco/music functions on both our nights opposite our room and noisy until midnight, we were not informed of these by the staff on reception or by the hotel.
In the morning we were woken early by golfers outside our room on the practice putting green. We could hear them with windows closed still.
The staff in the restaurant which was more like a cafe were not attentive and there was a very large noisy table of golfers during our dinner, we had to move from the table we were allocated.
The food was not gourmet more like cafe style particularly the breakfast, there were no cups available only paper cups.
We did complain to the reception on our first night and she said the manager is aware of your situation and will speak to us. This did not happen during our stay. I spoke to the receptionist on checking out and stated the manager did not contact us, the receptionist said the manager was unavailable, in fact the receptionist said the manager was not on site on either Saturday or Sunday.
I sent an email to the manager and deputy manager email address provided by the receptionist and so far there has been no reply by any of the managers.
