Hotel was fine, but spa was terrible

The hotel was perfectly fine for a cheaper hotel, staff were nice, everything was clean, just a bit dated. New carpets and fresh paint would make a massive difference.
However, the spa was pretty terrible and I m not sure how they can justify charging people extra to use the facilities. One of the saunas didn t even have a door on it and didn t look like it had been used in a long time. The mud room also wasn t available. The water in the thermal pool was tepid and there were lots tiles missing on it. The only thing available in the spa was a steam room (with old and mouldy nonslip mats) and a sauna, but the main hotel facilities included those anyway, so we paid extra for nothing.
