On arrival our room was (Room 2) boiling hot and eventually was found to have faulty radiators. We were promptly moved to room 107. This was in another building a few minutes walk from reception. Although the room was nice, the wardrobe door hinge was broken, one of the plug sockets was only held on with one screw, so came away when my companion s phone was plugged in. The coffee machine didn t work, nor did the fan in the bathroom. At night the lamps in the garden marking the path to the room were not on and it was pitch black. The high speed Wi-Fi was extremely slow, registering a speed of 2. The tv sound kept going out of sync, presumably due to the poor signal.

A tired hotel in need of updating and certainty not up to the standard expected on offpeakluxuary.

The room and breakfast were adequate, but more typical of ***+. Two course dinner was better, but but but no than typical of high street bistro. Would not recommend as a luxury break.

On entering the room, we noticed how very cold it was (there were 2 extra heaters in the room).
