The vibe of this apartment’s neighbourhood sits somewhere between bourgeois and bohemian – close to Gare du Nord for the Eurostar, and within walking distance of Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur. The surrounding narrow streets are lined with wooden-shuttered sandstone buildings which house bakeries, neighbourhood restaurants and bijou little shops.The apartment itself is a nod to 19th-century Paris, with gilded mirrors and vintage furniture on display.
The marble fireplace, corniced ceilings and French windows looking out onto the street below also add to the old-world feel. There’s plenty of room to gather around the dining table, and a full kitchen is tucked away with every you need for self-catering. But the piece de resistance has to be the huge bedroom with double French windows keeping things bright and a laptop-friendly desk for working remotely if you need.

This home is only available to rent for at least 30 nights. Under local regulations, you can only book this home if you're in town for reasons like work or study. The kitchen is separate from the living room but it is quite small. This apartment is on the third floor but there is a lift in the building. At capacity, one person will be on the sofa bed in the living room. Parking in central Paris can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible – though we think the best way to see the city is on foot. For those that need to work remotely, there's a desk in the bedroom. The entrance to this home is shared with the building's other residents
