We've got a lot of time for this modern and sophisticated home in the second arrondissement. Not just for the great location in the centre of Paris, which puts you a two-minute walk from the Richelieu-Drouot metro station and fifteen minutes to the Louvre, but also for the thoughtful decor, which is packed full of colour and character.
The bedrooms, in particular, are a highlight — as well as being stylishly arranged, they each have a Juliet balcony so you can throw open the doors first thing in the morning and wake up to the sounds of the Parisian streets down below. Then, once you're ready for the day, it's easy to fill your schedule with hopping between galleries, browsing through boutiques and dining at restaurants that are revered the world over.

Home truths
There is no lift in this apartment building, so it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. This home is on the third floor. Although there are two showers, there's only one toilet. The kitchen lacks basic food essentials – we'd recommend bringing your own. The living space is a little dark as there is only a narrow window. This host provides a cleaning kit with sponges, various detergents, kitchen cloths, garbage bags, dishwasher, and washing machine tablets
