At full capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living area. You're right on a lively Marais street, and so expect to hear noise from the road and nearby restaurants – particularly in the mornings when the neighbourhood comes to life. If you're a light sleeper, consider bringing earplugs. The spiral staircase is a charming part of this home's character, but it's steep and narrow – it's difficult to manage with large suitcases. One of the two bedrooms doesn't have a door – it opens onto the staircase – and the main bedroom has a glazed panel rather than a solid wall. It works well for close-knit families or friends, but may feel a little open for guests who prefer more separation. If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair – worth requesting in advance to make sure it's ready when you arrive.
