The grounds

Rutland may be England's smallest county, but there are many places of interest, things to do as a family or activities for a rainy-day in this historic county. Set at its heart is Rutland Water, an area of outstanding beauty, popular for cycling, fishing, bird-watching and watersports.

The Internationally famous nature reserve, an area of Special Scientific Interest on the western shores, features twenty-seven bird hides and two visitor centres where you can observe the many waterfowl that reside within its sanctuary.

Dogs Policy

With space to play, beautiful grounds to explore and long countryside walks, Rutland Hall Hotel is the perfect retreat for your four-legged friends. Canine companions are welcome within the hotel grounds, on the outside terrace and within selected accommodation at a charge of £25.00 per night.   They would then provide your friends with a Dog Bed, a Toy and 2 dog bowls so they can enjoy their stay.  Please contact us for availability. Please note that dog friendly rooms are on the ground floor, therefore have a restricted or no view of the lake.

Dogs should not be left unattended at any time.
