"A hidden gem!"
AH, Fife, stayed: September 2014 Orestone Manor was a delight. Reception staff very accommodating; luggage taken up to your room which, we have to say, was lovely; nicely furnished with a "sea" view when the fog lifted. Unfortunately no lift but plenty of steps; good exercise though for two OAPs. The only criticism we had was that the menu, although excellent, only varied slightly in the five days we were there. A daily "special" would have been good. The chocolate fondant was delicious.
"EXCELLENT FOOD"
Anon, stayed: September 2014 Visited Orestone Manor on a special offer package. Hotel a bit tired with no lift to the upper floors. Would have been disappointed if the food had not been such a delight. Excellent chef providing good quality, tasty meals. Certainly a gourmet restaurant. Also afternoon tea should be taken whilst staying there as it too was above average. The only downside of having such a popular restaurant was that it was not always possible to sit in the main restaurant for our evening meal and on one occasion we were seated in the conservatory which had no atmosphere and no table linen.
"The perfect getaway retreat"
LP, Wiltshire, stayed: August 2014 The staff were welcoming and very helpful as soon as we arrived at the hotel for our long weekend stay.

AS, London, stayed: August 2014 A lovely, welcoming hotel in a beautiful part of Devon. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel gardens were delightful but unfortunately it rained so we could not enjoy them to the full.
