Late booking at bank holiday

Managed to get the last room on bank holiday weekend
The sign on the hotel was a bit garish and gave a bad first impression as did the worn carpet in the entrance.
The room we had was a superior although I would not have classed it as such and the decor was not great.
However the staff were superb very friendly and helpful!! The room was very clean and comfort and the food was excellent so we will definitely be back hopefully in a different room.
