Visited Orestone Manor on a special offer package. Hotel a bit tired with no lift to the upper floors. Would have been disappointed if the food had not been such a delight. Excellent chef providing good quality, tasty meals. Certainly a gourmet restaurant. Also afternoon tea should be taken whilst staying there as it too was above average. The only downside of having such a popular restaurant was that it was not always possible to sit in the main restaurant for our evening meal and on one occasion we were seated in the conservatory which had no atmosphere and no table linen.
Orestone Manor says:
It is never the case that hotel guests are pushed out of the restaurant by locals. On some days if it's quiet, we use the conservatory for service as it's more intimate, but on busy nights we use both. If you have a preference for one or the other please let us know and we will always seat you in your preferred area, and table, if at all possible. It's all a matter of personal preference, many guests prefer the conservatory, especially in summer, because of the views, and easier access to the terrace.
