A night away - booked through Off Peak Luxury Site. The hotel was situated in a beautiful location on the banks of Ullswater, but in need of some TLC in places! The main frontage of the hotel needs painting (the balustrade above the main door) and the steps and gardens to the rear, also in need of some work. Our room was lovely, except for the fact that the window frames and lower windows needed a good clean and the central light fitting was partly broken. The evening meal was delicious, although the prices (should you be paying separately and not part of the package we'd booked) were expensive! The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the hotel!
We would consider staying again - with the same package as before!
