We came here for our pearl wedding anniversary and we loved it. Yes, it could do with a lick of paint, yes, the shower gel was where you couldn't reach it if you were in the bath, yes, the TV was in a strange place.
BUT- the staff were the most attentive, friendly, unfussy, lovely, kind people you could hope to meet. The food, (we ate in the restaurant both nights) was simply superb, the location, right on the lake is fantastic, the building is beautiful, the gardens are lovely, the guest lounges are perfect for a relaxed drink. For us, it was just what what we wanted. Those little things like the TV didn't matter to us in the slightest, because what it got right was so very good. Loved the place and most especially the people. We'll be back.
