I surprised my wife with a night at Langley Castle and she was very impressed. The reception lady was lovely, and directed us to our room which was huge. The four poster bed was enormous and very comfy. The bathroom in our room was small but perfectly formed, with good water pressure in the shower. Pre dinner drinks in the dining room from the cocktail menu but you may want a jumper if you stay for long. Dinner was special without being too fussy. Breakfast was good, special marks for the black pudding. The tour was well worth it, with excellent views.
All in all a special place for a treat.
