Langley Castle is a genuine medieval castle dating from the fourteenth century, now converted, as far as possible given the 8 foot thick walls and staircases, into a luxury hotel. We enjoyed one of the rooms within the castle complete with a four poster bed and a windowed alcove recessed into the wall. The fine dining restaurant is excellent. There is much to visit in the local area, particularly if, like us, you are interested in history.
