"Relaxing birthday treat"
Lisa T, Bedfordshire, stayed: November 2019 We stayed in the courtyard suite which was real value for money compared to the price of suites in the main house. The suite was large and right next to the spa. Being away from the main house made it more private. All staff were very friendly and professional. I didn't find the evening meal that good, the fish was very overdone. The breakfast was very good with salmon being on the help yourself buffet.
"First class stay - a shame about the tea machine"
IR, Clwyd, stayed: November 2019 Excellent hotel and pool, with friendly and good service, although obviously an expensive hotel.. Our only criticism would be the tea ad coffee making machine. Iit was difficult to work out how to use. Although it produced good coffee, the tea was not very nice (flavoured from the coffee made previously) and only enough materials for one cup of tea each, which was not enough for when we stayed in our stable room reading.
"Excellent Historic Hotel & Spa!"
SW, Cheshire, stayed: October 2019 We paid extra for a "Royal Room" in the main house for the full National Trust Experience!. The Tapestry Room was Oak panelled with "Tapestry wall hangings" and large windows overlooking parkland. The coach house rooms looked Ok near the Spa. Romantic grounds to walk around.
5 star review
Richard, Norfolk, stayed: September 2019 Really good stay, our 2nd time here, will return at some future time. Room excellent, food great quality, friendly, helpful staff.
"A hotel with lots of charm"
Anon, stayed: August 2019 A beautiful house set in stunning grounds. We did have lovely weather, which helped show the gardens off. The staff are excellent and the service is faultless. The restaurant is excellent too. Trying to think of a negative, but I can't. Already planning a return visit.
