"Slice of luxury"

From the moment the large, character wooden door was opened to welcome us, the warmth of the ambiance created by the staff just added to the calming atmosphere in this historic, well maintained and beautiful setting. Nothing was too much trouble and facilities were excellent, from main house, to courtyard suite, to the spa. We were already planning our next visit before we left.

Great for a short 2 night break. Lovely quiet grounds. Spa pool excellent and food and wine choice good if perhaps a little expensive...

Anon, stayed: July 2021 We enjoyed our stay and I've had to leave the Restaurant blank, the reason being that although all the staff we came into contact with were absolutely great with no exception, I'm afraid we found dinner in the evening was not up to the mark. We are both fish eaters and chose the sea bass on one evening and the halibut the next. The fish was overcooked in both cases, the vegetables were not good and the halibut was served on pasta and quite honestly looked most unappetising. The twice cooked souffl main course was really delicious, though very rich. We would certainly like to stay there again if the chef changed! Sorry. Breakfast was fine.
