A good hotel, could be a great hotel.

Although I rate this hotel highly, with a bit of love to the aging interior of our room, having a proper double bed & no hiding extra costs it would be a great hotel.
Fantastic house will beautiful green grounds all around, great welcome from the staff & comfortable room, if a little dated. I thought 58 pp towards evening dinner was generous until I saw the menu & 58 was the price for the set two course meal. The food was extremely good, what I was given, proper elegant dining with more plate than food. 58? An extra service charge was also added when we checked out making this dinner 70. Not value for money.
Our very large bed turned out to be two queen size beds pushed together, this left a big ridge then dip between my partner & myself.
The spa was lovely, a good size pool with steam room & jacuzzi made for a relaxing afternoon.
