This was the first visit to HH for one of us and the second visit for the other. We arrived on a beautiful summer afternoon and were absolutely entranced by the setting and the grounds. We had a delightful walk around the lake in the sunshine, watching the birds and dragonflies. The interior was just as spectacular - we stayed in the Maids of Honour room at the top of the grand staircase.
We loved the public rooms with their tapestries creating a country house atmosphere. We had an excellent meal accompanied by very good wine, all at prices which were very reasonable for the quality. We had a very enjoyable stay and intend to return soon.
