We had a lovely stay at Downhall. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the grounds and building was beautiful. Sadly a big part of the hotel was closed for refurbishment which I felt should have been mentioned before our stay, but didn t spoil it. The spa was of the highest quality and treatments were exceptional. The only complain was that the bed wasn t double but two singles usher together. Both my partner and I didn t sleep well, constantly rolling into the gap! I would love to return in the summer, where I imagine the grounds would be just beautiful.
