The hotel is beautiful, both inside and out, and the extensive grounds are wonderful. We had a long walk around the grounds and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was efficient and friendly. Food in the restaurant was enjoyable but could have been better. If I went there again I would eat in the bar as other guests were enthusiastic about that.

Stayed for one night, which coincidentally was a sunny Mother's Day, which created a very pleasant family atmosphere around the hotel, particularly on the Terrace where day guests congregated for drinks during the afternoon. The hotel room was nice but not grand and a bottle of sparkling wine awaited as part of the package, which also included a three course evening meal. The food was good, but certainly not filling and quite sparse for the starter and main meal; it was recommended by the helpful waitress that we order garden vegetables ( 7.40) which did not come as standard, which was the only downfall during our visit, considering the cost of 250 for the one night stay for two adults (breakfast was included) this did seem a little mean.
