Our stay at Down Hall was fantastic had a lovely room and a very relaxing afternoon in the spa (which we had to ourselves for half the time there!) The evening meal in the restaurant was stunning, probably the best meal we had eaten out for a very long time. The presentation and flavours were exquisite. The bed was very comfortable and the room well laid out and clean. We had a massage each at the spa on the Sunday which again was great and left us feeling totally de-stressed and chilled as we left the hotel. If I was to put any negative comments it would be that after such a lovely evening meal in the restaurant we were surprised when the breakfast the following morning was not all that good. It was cold and I disappointing. Other than this slight blip we would definitely recommend a stay at Down Hall it is a beautiful building set in some impressive grounds all tucked away in the Hertfordshire countryside.
