Our one night's stay turned out to be disappointing. Although the surroundings were very good, it was not restful as a wedding party and jazz evening on the terrace dominated and detracted from other guests such as us receiving the service we expected. The big disappointment was the restaurant. The waiting staff spent the hour that we waited for food to arrive, running round with clip boards, looking at a computer screen and dashing to the kitchen. However not more than one table received food within that hour. After complaining we eventually received our meal on cold plates, with the food barely warm and the portions small and raw vegetables. To be fair, the manager came to talk to us and we were not charged for drinks and the extra vegetables but the whole experience was poor. The menu was supposed to be a la carte but the choice was limited, with no option to have superior dishes, for which we would have been prepared to pay extra. (In hindsight this was probably a good thing, judging by the quality of the food we did receive). All in all, this was a disappointing experience and we will not go back.
