The hotel itself is beautiful and the room was stunning beyond that it's mediocre at best. They had 3 large events (wedding x2 / 50th anniversary) which meant it was extremely busy and very loud. The restaurant was right next to the wedding event room with drunk people coming and going constantly ruining the ambience of the restaurant. The food was mediocre and I couldn't eat the dessert it was so bad. We did mention to staff and they said there had been other complaints about my dessert over the evening. I found it surprising they were still serving it if that was the case. Luckily our room was right out of the way but we heard numeorus complaints at reception from other guests about the noise, creating a huge queue to check out.
