On the whole a reasonably relaxing break. The improvements were much appreciated. However there were a few things we both felt needed addressing
1. On arrival every table in the lounge was laid for afternoon tea. We just wanted to relax with a cup of tea in the main lounge not upstairs in the lounge on the first floor.
2. The waitress told us a number of times we should have pre booked which became increasingly irritating.
3.We reluctantly ordered a cream tea but needed one to be gluten free. On arrival it proved to be quite inedible, and reluctantly we had no alternative but to return it. We made a complaint but again was told we should have preordered.
4. Our room was cold on arrival. We asked at reception to turn the heat on while we were having dinner. Unfortunately reception forgot to do this.
