Lovely grounds and beautiful house

Arrived and we were really impressed with the house, grounds and gardens. It was lovely to walk around and have a drink on the lawn. I was a little disappointed with the welcome at reception, they knew it was our anniversary as there was a lovely dessert plate in the room but no mention upon checking in. The room I felt was a little dated for a 'Prestige Room' although the bathroom was nice. However, for the price I would expect the furnishings to be a little more premium as the cushions were stained and it just appeared a little old. The bathroom was nice however. The sauna and steam room was nice as well as the gym but changing facilities again could use a little modernising. The tennis and padel were great and such a great addition. The bar area was lovely and really nice to have a drink there before or after the meal. Overall we enjoyed our stay and was a lovely one night break.
