A beautiful hotel with fabulous walking routes made more wonderful in the snow. The room was perfect with a little turret corner furnished with a comfortable sofa. Bed was comfortable and a proper size.
Food on our first night could not be faulted. Every thing was perfect
On the second night most of our party had the turkey and it was a bit disappointing to have a rolled concoction of breast and leg meat. It was tasty enough, but not what expected.
One issue with the agents is that you advertised the break with a 35 allowance for dinner. The hotel has a 32.50 dinner menu, which is very
good value however, they charged us the supplement for a cheese board, even though this would have been covered by the advertised allowance.
The whole experience was great and we learned a very valuable lesson from the turkey - just in time to not make the same mistake in our own hotel.
We loved it, and despite the poor choice of draft beer and larger and expensive mediocre wine, we will be back.
