Farm Shop Cafe
Open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, the Cowdray Farm Shop Café ethos reflects the seasons, providing freshly made, wholesome, healthy dishes to suit all tastes and cater for specific dietary requirements where possible.
They use Estate produce and other local suppliers for our ingredients where possible, ensuring a connection to the same beautiful landscape that our customers can view as they dine.
Afternoon Tea at the Walled Garden
The Afternoon Tea at the Walled Garden is prepared by the team of Yellow Kitchen pastry chefs and follows the traditional combination of sweet and savoury, using locally sourced ingredients reflective of the season.
The afternoon tea menu offers a thoughtfully curated selection of finger sandwiches and miniature rolls, featuring both traditional and contemporary fillings. Accompanying these are a variety of handcrafted sweet treats, including classic scones with clotted cream and jam, as well as delicacies inspired by seasonal and floral flavours.

The Estate, which is based around the town of Midhurst in West Sussex, extends to about 16,000 acres, of which 36% is woodland, three times the national average.
Conifers form 53%, broadleaf high forest 25%, Chestnut coppice 14% with the other 8% being made up of shrub and bare areas.
The woodlands at Cowdray are certified under international sustainable management standards in accordance with the UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS). This means that our timber and wood products carry the FSC® mark of responsible forestry.

History of the hotel
'Cowdray is an exceptional area of West Sussex, nestled beneath the South Downs in the heart of the National Park. The Estate has been in our family for generations and is not only the place we are lucky enough to call home, it is also an area I am delighted to be able to share with you.'
Cowdray Heritage is one of England's most important early Tudor houses. Visited by King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I this impressive Tudor house was partially destroyed by fire in 1793. One tower remained intact and following a recent refurbishment is now a venue for art workshops, specialising in the Renaissance Period.
