Our 3rd time here and were impressed with the improvements to the bar and restaurant. Our room and bathroom were spacious. Access to a larger than normal balcony was a surprise. Sadly we had a few issues: coffee machine needed some instructions ie should we put in milk?; fresh milk a bonus but not enough; only tea and coffee available; no morning biscuits apart from the chef welcome pack on first day; at night the stairs we re dangerous in the dark (some kind of dull lighting on steps required); cupboard but no drawers. A fridge would be a bonus.
Staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
Breakfast menu was good but the self service buffet was basic. Having an intolerance meant the pastries with nuts were not possible nor the fresh fruit which was just melon. Cheese or cold meat would have been an alternative.
