"Overall good experience"
Anon, stayed: August 2019 Nice hotel and lot, helpful staff. Only negatives were the desserts and coffee. Chocolate fudge cake, large portion but very dry, definitely not home made , cash and carry quality. Coffee at breakfast was slow to arrive. When it did, my daughter who is a big coffee fan commented it tasted like cigarettes. I then smelt it and smelled like an ash tray, very disappointing.
"Relaxing Break"
AM, East Lothian, stayed: August 2019 Overall staff very helpful and pleasant. Room nice but bathroom had a step up to enter and little room to enter bath and shower. For a change my wife did not have to struggle with hair drier, mirror and light in right position and a full length mirror. Scenery around hotel fantastic and facilities great. Would revisit and recommend this hotel.
"More than a home from home."
JF, Selkirkshire, stayed: August 2019 A leisurely luxurious stay where the staff made you feel as if you mattered. Staff took the trouble to engage with the residents and give advise when asked. Nothing seemed too much bother.
"Atholl Palace hotel"
Lindsey V, Aberdeenshire, stayed: June 2019 All in all a lovely, Victoian hotel set in beautiful grounds and with stunning views. A great place to use as your base to explore Perthshire or simply relax in the lovely surroundings. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with our bathroom door which was attended to first thing the next morning. Very good service in the restaurant and the breakfast was excellent. A huge choice of all types of breakfast food and all very well set out, cooked food nice and hot. Evening meals were good although my sticky toffee pudding was very dry and had no toffee sauce but the kind waitress quickly brought me a small pot of toffee sacuse and extra custard. My only complaint although I'm not sure how this can be addressed is that in our bathroom (room 401) the side of the bath was so close to the toilet we couldn't sit down properly we had to sit sideways which was akward. We're not big people - I'm 9 stone and my husband is 11.Highly recommneded hotel.
