"Absolute hidden gem."
CC, Essex, stayed: August 2026 We were absolutely blown away by how amazing and beautiful WOTTON House is! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm, character and history of this stunning protected historic building. It really is a beautiful place with such a special atmosphere, and it made our family stay feel extra memorable.
"Mixed but good value for money"
GJ, Surrey, stayed: August 2026 This hotel appears to focus more on weddings than on its overnight guests. The wedding areas look excellent and the grounds are wonderful, but some hotel areas lack the same attention to detail. The restaurant, for example, had items stored in clear view, while the swimming pool and changing rooms felt dated.

"Sunday one night stay"
Liz, Surrey, stayed: March 2026 Treated my husband to a night away in March. The hotel is impressive as you drive in and grounds are nice. Our room was nice and the pool and spa facilities were great and quiet too. However the restaurant is poor. We ended up with a burger and fish and chips - hardly a treat. The pear pavlova was tiny - it was quarter of a pear. Having said that it was a delicious pud. Breakfast was disappointing. My croissant was stale and the breads are just regular sliced bread. Staff didn't seem to be proactively refilling dishes unless customers asked. Self service hot drinks were not nice. There wasn't any ambience, need music in the bar and newspapers. Lots of empty reception rooms and no reason to linger there really. We won't be back unfortunately.
