The staff are the highlight of this hotel and restaurant. They were so very helpful. My sandals broke and I was only staying the night, so hadn't brought any other shoes and I asked for a safety pin, instead they have me a pair of the spa flip flops. Perfect! The restaurant food was lovely and the waiting staff were really on it. Fab thank you. Sadly the hotel itself was a let down. The rooms are dated and shabby, thred bare carpets (literally to the backing), old chipped furniture and the communal area hallways all need a refresh. The women's changing area was a disgrace, the toilet had overflowed and there was water all over the floor, it had been reported. But I personally am not standing in that. So we changed in the room and went wrapped in a towel. There is considerable mould around the water dispenser in the pool area and in general it needs a good deep clean and refresh. Not a place for a romantic get away, I wouldn't stay the night again, but would go back for a meal.

We have been to this hotel before and was keen to return, however this time the pool was out of action which was very disappointing and we had not been informed beforehand. The spa area is looking a bit tired as there were lots of mosiac tiles in the thermal spa suite missing. On the first visit to the spa the lady there was very helpful, however on the second day another member of staff was not so and seemed to not want to be there! The food in the restaurant was lovely, however we were a party of 4 and we had to ask for the 4th main course after the other 3 had been served a while before.

Pleasant and convenient place to stay even if you aren't a golfer.

Ufford stay room very nice but we upgraded.. restaurant average..breakfast ..very average..self service . Not worth the money for over night stay and definitely not worth the money for the very dated and in bad less than 2 hours out of our 4 hours in thermal suite.. .massage very good but not spa area
