We came for a luxurious break, we did not feel we received that? The bar told us they were busy and to take a seat and they would come to us. 30 mins later a waiter arrived and we had to get their attention. Over charged in the Spa, had to spend 3 attempts to get our money back. Reception was welcoming, the food was lovely, the booth we sat in was cosy. Lovely location. Restaurant staff very helpful.

Enjoyed our stay visiting the local area. Hotels primary focus was on the golfing community. So from that perspective it was good. However, for individuals just wanting it relaxing weekend other hotels would be preferable.

I would like to start by saying the staff that work here are hard working and very helpful. The hotel itself is ok but quite run down and needs updating this also goes for the thermal spar and the pool area. This would be acceptable if the hotel wasn t charging high premium prices for the stay. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and we waited forever for our order to be taken and for the food to arrive which was not of good quality, 1 person trying to serve about 9 tables who you could tell was struggling with the pressure and rightly so. The restaurant is well and truly overpriced do not bother booking, 2nd night we had dinner at the uttersford crown just down the road which was normally priced and the food was outstanding. I will say the hotels breakfast is very good though, they ve got that right. We met some locals and members who informed us the hotel had recently been taken over by new owners and they have increased all the prices.

We were very disappointed with the restaurant, it was very dated and needed a face lift. The food was mediocre, but the steak that came with the saut flat iron steak salad was inedible. The service was very slow considering the restaurant was almost empty, this was lunch time.
