"Enjoyable break"
Marilynne, Gwent, stayed: September 2026 We chose the Wood Norton because it was dog friendly. However this did not compare well with other dog friendly hotels. There were no poo bins on site. We could not take our little dog into the main restaurant which had a hard floor. We had to eat in the bar or the lounge ( carpeted) but no provision was ever made. We had to find a suitable table- not always easy because most of them are low for having a drink or coffee, not a suitable height for dining.
"Excellent once again"
JT, West Midlands, stayed: August 2026 Next time I will book directly with the hotel as I usually do. Because we have been several times now they graciously upgraded our room at no extra cost. The receptionists are incredible, breakfast is outstanding and the evening meals are also good.
"Wood Norton Hotel Stay"
Colin, Powys, stayed: August 2026 We were looking forward to a quiet luxurious stay at the Hotel. Although the room was clean. No fan was in the room and after asking twice I collected it from Reception which I think should have been placed in the room while we were out all day. The public areas outside were poor with shrubs requiring pruning, trimming as well as leaves requiring removal all around. Empty glasses had been left on a table from the night before and an umbrella was broken flapping in the wind.
"Country Break"
Benita, Cheshire, stayed: June 2026 A lovely hotel with a great history and fabulous views. The room we had was a little tired especially the bathroom (great to have a bath though). The restaurant was nice and food good, was expecting smaller portions as the chef is famous but pleasantly surprised at how large the meals were. Afternoon tea superb. The gardens are pretty and lots of places to sit.
