I was given a 400 voucher for my 50th last year by my friends, I chose this hotel as it was a trip away but not too far and we know the area. We arrived and reception were brilliant checking us in. We travel with our dog so we were on the ground floor and the only room with an enclosed section for the dog out of the rooms patio doors. There are also car parking spaces around the back so you can park close for unloading and bring your dog straight into the room that way. They gave us a little bag with doggy essentials like poop bags, treats etc. The room has been recently refurbished and was modern and lovely, everything worked. The pressure in the shower is fantastic. It was comfortable had had everything you needed. The patio doors also led out to some steps that took you straight up onto the canal path. The staff at this hotel are second to non. Sadly I didn't get the names of everyone but the lady on reception when we first checked in at 4pm on Friday 4th and the long tied back brown haired young lady in the restaurant at breakfast all 3 mornings were fantastic. Because our dog can be excitable we chose to eat in our room, it was no trouble at all and everyone went out of their way to help us. That included Jack in the restaurant on Friday night and James who was on reception as we left this morning. Even the cleaning staff were fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel especially if you travel with your dog. We will be back. Thank you all very much!

Bathroom outdated needs regrouping around bath and tiles to much black mould

Lovely hotel. Ticked all our boxes. Excellent clean spacious modern bathroom, great bar we we ate very tasty food( we ate there because we had a dog). Swimming pool warm!

Public areas were nicely done and staff were friendly and helpful. Nice location. Our room looked out over the canal.Dinner was good. Breakfast was the basic sausage, bacon & eggs fry-up buffet.

Rooms tasty especially the bathroom. Lots of doors non automatic.
