Disappointing

We have stayed at this hotel many times when it was the Rendezvous, it has definitely deteriorated. The staff were all really lovely and as helpful as they could be. Our room 406 was starting to look shabby with marks on the carpet, furniture damaged in places. The canal view was the best thing about it. The food was a big disappointment, the first night our dessert was served still half frozen, the second night our beefburger was just that a beefburger and fries with no salad, or coleslaw just the burger and fries on a wooden platter for 19.95. I also thought the wine was pretty expensive at 12.75 a glass. It seemed to be catering more for corporate events and coach parties now. So the stay was OK but would we return I don't think so.
