"Great overnight stay"
KD, Lancashire, stayed: October 2024 We stayed here as a last minute treat as I was running in a race the next morning. The hotel was luxurious and welcoming, with a really good atmosphere as there was a murder mystery evening taking place the same evening.
"Lovely hotel."
LF, Tyne and Wear, stayed: October 2024 We had a very pleasant stay at the White Swan Hotel.
"Fascinating place to be"
Brian S, Rutland, stayed: October 2024 The Old Swan is the hotel where Agatha Christie was found after her disappearance on the 3rd of December 1926. The hotel has plenty of atmosphere with good staff and good food. Our room was clean, well furnished and plenty big enough for the two of us, although we didn t have a good view. The hotel is set back from the centre of the town and is very quiet. It is only a short walk to the town centre. It was our second stay there and we wouldn t hesitate to return.
"OK overall - some niggling problems"
Gillian and Kenneth Highley, stayed: October 2024 We stayed here for 3 nights in October. We were a party of four, comprising two elderly couples. One of the rooms was not very good. The bathroom was very small and difficult to get in and out, and one of our party, who is in her 80s, found she could not use the bath because of a lack of grab rails. The other room was acceptable, although in the shower it was difficult to control the water temperature. Again, no grab rails.
