"Beautiful little hotel with awarding winning restaurant"

We had a wonderful stay at The Crown & Thistle with some friends. It was the perfect place to celebrate our joint 50th birthdays. From the moment we arrived, the staff could not have been more welcoming and attentive. The rooms were all individual and charming and had been carefully thought out to have everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and there were luxury toiletries available in the bathrooms. The housekeeping team were very helpful and serviced the room each day.

Sophia, Essex, stayed: April 2026 We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel with our little boy. Staff were excellent and the food was delicious. Having a separate pub, restaurant and hotel was perfect for us. Great location to explore and the courtyard is so pretty. Highly recommend

Booked at the Crown and Thistle as a convenient location for a visit to Oxford which proved a good choice as plenty of buses available. Big bonus for us was the location of the C & T, near to amenities of Abingdon, the river just a short stroll away with some lovely riverside walks.
