Very pleasant hotel, but not as good as many other Off peak luxury hotels we have stayed at. The bedroom was well equipeed, but rather small.The breakfasts were excellent, , hot plates and croissants etc. All food very hot.
Our main disappointment was the dinner on the first night. The spring rolls I had as a starter were so crispy they fell apart , and it was only 1 spring roll cut in two!. I had wanted turkey, which was on the menu. I was told there was no bread sauce and no cranberrysauce as they had run out because of the Sunday buffet - we stayed on Monday. I thought the menu very unimagintive and ended up having scampi and chips.The choice was limited for a top class hotel.
I dont think I would stay again though it was reasonable value for money.
