Lovely rooms in lovely location

The hotel is in a quiet village but we ll located for visiting the surrounding area. Our superior room was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed (though a shelf in the bathroom for our toiletries would have been welcome). Food in the restaurant was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. Unusually at breakfast time there was no self service for juices/cereals/yogurts etc - all were served from the menu, as was the varied and excellent cooked breakfast. Unfortunately, combined with limited number of staff this meant that service, although willing & friendly, was quite slow. We do not normally take over an hour for breakfast.
