"Wonderful Hotel"
Diane, Essex, stayed: April 2026 My husband and myself enjoyed a lovely stay. The room was very clean and we enjoyed tea and coffee in the room. The room was very peaceful. The staff were very helpful in every aspect. Our one thing we felt could be better was the evening meal and service there. The food in our opinion was fine but nothing wonderful. I ordered the Pate which certainly appeared shop bought rather than home made. My husband ordered prawns and all was underwhelming, with him counting how many prawns and not a lot else he received. My husband ordered Linguine and again very basic and I ordered a Burger with fries. Again fine but just ok.
"Break with friends"
Kathryn M, Kent, stayed: November 2024 Lovely hotel, with very friendly helpful staff.
4 star review
Anon, stayed: October 2024 We enjoyed an excellent three day break to which both the hotel and weather contributed. The room we were first shown would not have been satisfactory. This was immediately understood and we were offered a fully accessible room which was one of the best we have come across. Blue badge parking on site was extremely helpful, and the location was ideal.
"Lovely, friendly hotel."
WR, Essex, stayed: September 2024 A great hotel, and very welcoming. The rooms are fantastic, they are spacious, airy and very comfortable. The restaurant & bar areas are comfortable and the food in the restaurant is fantastic. This is our 3rd or 4th visit to Poets House, and we will definitely be returning in the future.
