"A bit disappointing"
Penny, West Midlands, stayed: July 2021 We had basic rooms so I am sure this review would have been better if we had been able to upgrade. I do understand though that with a last minute booking this was not possible. We were there for 4 nights. The rooms were really hot and stuffy, with tiny top opening windows, covered by Roman blinds (which I had to take down to get any air in). I think this really needs addressing.
"Breakfast service"
A S, North Yorkshire, stayed: September 2020 Overall breakfast was adequate but found it strange the hotel didn't have any marmalade throughout our stay. I could understand not having any on the first morning but after that they did have the opportunity to get some, even from the local shops! After all it is a basic commodity for any hotel.
"First trip since lock down."
JR, tyne and wear, stayed: September 2020 After 5 months being locked down we found the Mosborough Hall Hotel to be a safe and welcoming place. Although the reality of austere settings and lack of soft furnishments were a tad removed from the brochure photographs, we understand why and took them in our stride. We admired the staff for their attitude in what for them must be a very worrying and difficult time.
"Lovely break away"
Gill, Merseyside, stayed: March 2019 The hotel staff were fabulous when there was a problem with our room key which prevented us from gaining access back into our room and belongings. They kept us informed of their progress in sorting the problem and tried their best to make it up to us with complimentary drinks and coffee. The hotel itself was lovely and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel is tucked away but upon arrival it is like a little oasis of calm.
