"Great stay and really friendly"

Had a great visit for my wife's birthday. The hotel had decorated the room and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was amazing and we both agreed it was the best steak we had! A very relaxing and chilled out stay. On checkout, reception did try and charge us again for dinner,that we had paid for the night before, but this was quickly resolved.

Had a lovely few days here, most of the staff were really friendly just not quite the same vibe from some at breakfast. We ate at the restaurant every night during our stay as the food was excellent. Our room was clean and well presented. Very good with dogs which was a big plus.

JW, stayed: August 2026 From the moment we arrived to we left we were treated like royalty, it was our Golden Wedding Anniversary gift, the suite was done beautifully, red balloons in the living room, and the bedroom was done up with red leaves, Happy Anniversary above the bed, and the towels like swans. The evening meal was great and we got a lovely sweet with Happy Anniversary written on it. We cannot praise the Hotel enough, thanks to all the staff involved.

NB, Northamptonshire, stayed: June 2026 Melville Castle is a beautiful location to stay, great restaurant, beautiful grounds and very easy to get into Edinburgh via the bus, this removes all the City access and parking challenges.
